@ockham: just right click in your editor window and select “disable spelling” and it will be disabled.

ah thanks nice, I love hidden menus please put it in menu bar, it drastically slows down the best free markdown editor on the market, if you dont type in english and every word is a spelling error....

sorry, but just recognized your software is not able to save german umlauts ä,ü,ö in a file, which makes it quite useless for longer texts
